There was a moment I found myself staring blankly at a mysterious object hanging from a gray desk lamp. I couldn't quite identify what it was—an oddly shaped something that had me puzzled during the coloring process.

After some deep recollection, I finally remembered—it was a piece of dried flying fish sent to me by a friend living abroad, through their family. This particular fish was caught and dried by the writer Syaman Rapongan, and had found its way to me, eventually hanging silently under that lamp.

Once I recognized the object, the colors naturally followed. The arrangement of objects in the space had changed over time, and I had to revisit the small corners of my memory, then search the edges of my palette for a matching shade. With each stroke, I summoned the spirit of the scene, slowly piecing it together like a puzzle—guiding myself back to that remembered moment in time.
